Jodi Wasson
Trauma Supports Team Member
Jodi Wasson is the Trauma Support Director for Challenge to Change. She also serves as a Correctional Counselor at the Mount Pleasant Correctional Facility.
Jodi is a University of Iowa graduate with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. She also holds a substitute teaching license, is a certified alcohol and drug counselor, and is a RYT 500 and RCYT.
When she first stepped into the Challenge to Change studio, she was on a “peace journey” – trying to recover from the traumatic events of the closure of the Mental Health Institute where she had worked for 20 years and a cancer misdiagnosis.
Through yoga and mindfulness, Jodi found peace and a way to heal her body, mind and spirit. Jodi is a warrior who continues to seek peace and balance in life, both off and on her mat.
