The Yamas & Niyamas: Living Yoga Beyond the Mat The Yamas and Niyamas are the ethical roots of yoga. They offer simple, meaningful guidance for how we relate to ourselves, others, and the world around us. In this masterclass, participants will explore the 10 foundational principles of yoga philosophy in a clear, approachable way. Through reflection, discussion, mindful practices, and real-life examples, students will learn how the Yamas and Niyamas can support emotional awareness, self-discipline, compassion, personal growth, and intentional living. This class is designed for yoga teachers, mindfulness educators, parents, caregivers, and anyone interested in bringing yoga philosophy into everyday life in a grounded and practical way. Participants Will Explore: The 5 Yamas: non-harming, truthfulness, non-stealing, mindful energy, and non-attachment The 5 Niyamas: cleanliness, contentment, discipline, self-study, and surrender How these teachings connect to mindfulness, emotional intelligence, and daily choices Simple ways to practice each principle on and off the mat Reflection prompts for personal growth and teaching integration Perfect For: Yoga teachers, classroom educators, mindfulness instructors, caregivers, and students who want to deepen their understanding of yoga beyond poses and breathing.
