Bringing Yoga and Mindfulness into the Classroom: Boost Wellness and Emotional Intelligence


Bringing Yoga and Mindfulness into the Classroom will help teachers provide practical tools for emotional regulation and student well-being.


There are many evidence-based benefits of a mindfulness practice, including:


• Concentration, focus and attention

• Improved emotional regulation and self-control

• Creativity and imagination

• Greater connection between the mind and body

• Feelings of well-being and respect for others


This course will support teachers with yoga and mindfulness tools to address the social and emotional needs most needed within their learning community.  Educators will meet monthly to practice new skills and strategies and receive support to continue to bring fun and engaging yoga and mindfulness tools into the classroom.
