Trauma-Informed Supports Director + Yoga Teacher

Liz joins Challenge to Change as a Yoga Teacher for the Middle School team and will be co-developing and managing special projects to help spread the mission and benefits of teaching children yoga and meditation.
Liz is originally from Tinley Park, IL and came to Dubuque to attend Loras College where she played volleyball and pursued a degree in Social Work. She then earned her Masters Degree in School Social Work from the University of Illinois – Chicago. She worked as a school social worker for three years, before finding Challenge to Change where she completed her RCYT and is currently pursuing her 200 hour yoga teacher training. In addition, she is also an Ace Certified Group Fitness Instructor at Orangetheory where she is a Lead Sales Associate and Coach.

Liz is extremely passionate about fitness and has been practicing yoga for over 6 years. “Because of the physical, mental, and emotional benefits yoga gave me, I have always implemented mindfulness and yoga practices with my students. Working for Challenge to Change feels like the perfect blend of all of my passions: fitness, yoga, education, and the social-emotional well-being of children.”
