Stephanie Burrough

Trauma Supports Team Member

For the past 13 years Stephanie has acted as Project Coordinator for Amy's Gift, a Quad Cities Eating Disorders Consortium, where she has forwarded the mission of "hope, help and healing for those with eating disorders in the Quad Cities community". In her current role as Community Relations Specialist at the Robert Young Center for Community Mental Health she acts as an advocate and organizer for various mental health programs and training events throughout the year.

Stephanie completed her 95-hour Children’s Yoga Teacher Training with Challenge to Change and has also completed the 8-Week Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) program developed at the Stress Reduction Clinic at UMass Medical Center by Jon Kabat-Zinn. She is also a Level III Usui Reiki Master and certified in Touch for Health Kinesiology.

After experiencing the benefits that mindfulness and yoga have had in her life, she is passionate about sharing these gifts with others, especially children, so that they can more consciously create a better life.

With additional past work experience as a children's theatre teacher, Stephanie's diverse personal and professional knowledge have brought her here today to be a part of the Challenge to Change Team!
