Trauma-Informed Yoga and Mindfulness Practices brings evidence-based tools to support student resilience.
Teachers and educators will learn tools and strategies to sensitively support students in their classrooms who may have experienced trauma.
Develop an understanding of the effects of trauma on a student’s body, brain and overall well-being
Learn how yoga, movement and mindfulness activities can be used with students in a way that helps promote the building of resilience to mitigate the effects of traumatic experiences
Reflect on their own past experiences and how that impacts the educational environment they create for students
Expand their understanding of how to avoid re-traumatizing through a mindful approach of being aware of their language, environment, and their own teacher qualities
This interactive class will incorporate discussions, journaling, physical movement practices, breathing exercises, and even games and activities.
